The easy thing to say would be that we started Clevr to help you feel better. But the truth is, we first created Clevr to help ourselves feel better
The Spark
When Rog (loving shoutout to my co-founder & brave only man on our team) and I were first dreaming up Clevr, he was moving through losing his mom to breast cancer. This profound experience inspired him to live life more fully, but grief also brought waves of depression and anxiety. I started making him reishi cappuccinos as a nervous-system soothing alternative to coffee, and we started diving deeper into how mushrooms & adaptogens could be allies in our mental health journeys.
The Van
Inspired by our shared journey, Rog and I took our passion on the road in the form of a hand-built mobile adaptogenic coffee & tea bar. Clevr was born!
Our customers felt better in their bodies & minds, and we kept getting the question: “How can I make this at home?”
The Final Product
I spent a year formulating a latte that was barista-quality, truly just-add-water, and had the science-backed benefits of a supplement. Clevr was born!
The glow up
We went from a tiny, bootstrapped two-person team, to launching nationwide in retail, being in 'Oprah's Favorite Things' 2 years running, launching our own clinical trials, and our own Food Justice grant program. And we're just getting started!
